Teos ilmentää todellisuutta jossa ihminen on uponnut osaksi luonnonmaisemaa, ja luonnonmaisema osaksi ihmistä. Teoksen teemoja valaisee upoksissa olemisen käsite jota filosofi Emmanuel Coccia kuvaa kirjassaan Kasvien elämä – Sekoittumisen metafysiikka: ”Kaikki maailmalliset olevat ovat uponneet johonkin, joka on uponnut niihin.” 

Uponnut puutahra on Olohuone306 -festivaalille kuratoitu teos, joka sijaitsee Taiteen talon pihalla koko kesän ajan. 

The work reflects a reality where man is immersed in the natural landscape, and the natural landscape in man. The themes of the work are illuminated by the concept of being immersed, as described by the philosopher Emmanuel Coccia in his book The Life of Plants – Metaphysics of Mixture: ”All worldly things have sunk into something that has sunk into them.” 

Uponnut puutahra (Sunken garden) is a work curated for the Olohuone306 festival, which will be on display in the courtyard of Taiteen talo throughout the summer.
